Exterior Fire Damage in Calumet City-Lansing, IL

This home experienced fire damage to the exterior and smoke damage on the interior. The customer called their insurance company who called in a company out of Chicago to do the work. After discussing the benefits of hiring one local company to do the mitigation and repairs work, the client went with SERVPRO. Our teams quickly responded to the emergency needs by boarding up and securing the outside. Our mitigation crews extracted all wet carpet and flooring surfaces and set drywall equipment that first evening. We then returned to removed the soaked drywall and insulation in order to dry out the framing of the exterior walls. Drying fans and dehumidifiers were used to eliminate moisture and high humidity inside. 

Following brief discussions, our cleaning team cleaned and deodorized the affected areas of the house. Using both ozone and UV light machines, the smoke odor was eliminated very quickly. 

The home is located on a Main Street in town so it was a very visible project to the neighborhood. Our repairs team, replaced the gutters, soffit, fascia, and siding. We also replaced the vinyl window the was burnt during the fire. The Jones family was very pleased with the work. And the insurance claim was closed quickly and fairly
